What is account verification?
If you want to verify a profile or a community (get a blue check mark), this article can help you.
You can verify that your account has your real credentials and get a special gray check mark. It is a safe and optional procedure.
Important: verification is only available to users over 18 years old.
The check mark will be displayed on your profile, showing that you are a real person. It will also allow you to use your selected authorization method on supported platforms, such as Sferum or RuStore.
Additionally, a gray check mark allows you to promote your profile or add a link to it into an artist overview.
Please note: the check mark persists only as long as the account has your real first and last name. If they are changed, the check mark will disappear.
What services can I use to get a check mark?
You can verify your credentials using:
1. Verified Gosuslugi, Sber ID, T-ID, Alfa ID accounts that contain real information.
2. VK Pay.
In the future you will be able to verify through other platforms.
Please note: If the listed services are not available in your country, you will not be able to get the gray check mark for the time being.
How do I enable credential verification?
You can access verification in two ways:
1. VK ID settings → Personal data → Account verification
2. VK ID settings → Security and login → Linked accounts.
In both cases you will need to enter the login and password of Gosuslugi, Sber ID, T-ID or Alfa ID, enter your password or phone number of the VK ID account and confirm that the credentials in the account will be changed to those specified in the external service.
If you used VK Pay verification before, press the Verify account button.
